Or just like making movies of your family, pets and holidays and would like to make them just that little bit better.

Come along to one of our club meetings where you will be given a warm welcome and people will be happy to chat about all aspects of film making.

We like making all kinds of video programmes :- documentaries, holiday films, wildlife, animations, we are limited only by our imaginations.


Club nights are a mixture of  competitions, practical sessions, talks, public shows and opportunity to take part in team film-making.

Gordon Young researches and shoots documentary films in Bristol and Venice. He works with a small team of fellow members in Bristol Film & Video Society as well as on solo projects.

A View of the Bridge - the story of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, its conception, construction and the real reason it was built. The film includes spectacular footage of hot-air balloons flying over the bridge.

Edwards Guide   -  a tour of Bristol incorporating a narrative from 1805 twinned with present-day images.

Past Historic, Future Perfect  -  shot entirely in Venice, this is a disturbing tale of a plan to demolish the historic fabric of the city and construct a modern port.
